We are so grateful to everyone who supported and showed up for our 30th anniversary fundraiser, Showcase 2024, at Town Hall Seattle on October 10th. With speakers and videos highlighting our three decades, we raised $219k of our $220k goal in gifts and pledges. Our fall fundraiser is an important part of our annual budget, and we’re so heartened by the response and participation from 200+ donors during the campaign.
Our keynote speaker was Mr. Wally Webster, founding director of Lynnwood’s The Access Project, a Companis partner agency. He is pictured above at Showcase (photo by Dan DeLong). The Access Project is a mental health and anti-violence referral hub for teens and young adults in South Snohomish County. A longtime social justice and civil rights advocate, Mr. Webster is the 2024 recipient of Companis’ highest honor, the Newell Award for Community Service. He was introduced by Cynthia Hunter, Companis Outreach Specialist, who is a longtime friend. Following Mr. Webster’s keynote, he was joined on stage by Theresa Pruett, a Companis placement supporting grant writing for The Access Project.

President Emerita Dr. Sarah Speck, MD highlighted Companis’s second decade and the emphasis on access to health care for everyone, as Companis emphasized placing skilled professionals with agencies that make health care accessible to all, regardless of ability to pay.
