We’re thrilled to announce Cynthia Hunter has joined our staff as Outreach Specialist, a lead role in introducing Companis to nonprofits throughout King and Snohomish counties. Cynthia first took on the role in September as a contractor. Now, through a 3-year grant from the Seattle Baptist Union of American Baptist Churches, sponsored by SBU member Seattle First Baptist Church, Cynthia brings her professional talents, native knowledge of our region and passion for our work to our staff.
Cynthia is a Seattle native with a background in financial management and real estate. She joined Companis in 2018 where she was placed in service with Byrd Barr Place, and later with Fabian’s Fund. Her outreach will focus on BIPOC communities and BIPOC-led nonprofit agencies in the region. In the past few months, she’s introduced our work to new Companis partner nonprofits Feed The Need – Client Choice Pantry (a Burien food bank), and Look Listen & Learn, a BIPOC children’s education program.
It’s great to have you on staff, Cynthia!
