Exploring meditative traditions
Companis convened a hands on training session exploring several different meditative traditions today, one in an ongoing series of personal and professional development opportunities we call "Companis Connects." Understanding that in this time when the ground of our common life seems to be shifting under our very feet, it is crucial that we find ways to center and sustain ourselves, Worker Engagement Director Peter Jabin brought in guest presenters Seppo Ed Farrey , an ordained monk in the Zen Buddhist tradition and Cherry Haisten of the Christian centering prayer tradition and program director of The Center at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Seattle.
It was a wonderful morning, and a welcome break from the world's chaos and the holiday "to do" lists. We welcomed both Companis Workers and partner agency staff to the event.
Thanks to Peter Jabin and the Companis staff for making this happen!
